MUST HAVES:

  • A minimum of six years of work experience in Programming or Infrastructure
  • Experience leading a team or project related to Cloud Services
  • Experience with Amazon Cloud Services (AWS), EC2, S3, SQS, RDS, IAM, ELB, SNS, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Proficiency in scripting technologies such as Ruby, Python, etc.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
  • Advance technical knowledge of network and server operating systems

      • Infrastructure Automation (Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.) DAY TO DAY:We are looking for a CloudOps Manager to join our organization and help us improve our AWS Cloud Environment and team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, AWS Cloud experience and team management. This individual will lead a team of CloudOps engineers to improve the company's cloud operations and infrastructure. This role is responsible for the hands-on Technology and Business services for operations and delivery of Cloud offerings. The role will collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Application Development, venders / service providers, and various infrastructure and operations groups to create and support an operational environment for new and existing services supported by CloudOps. This position will also allow you to innovate our engineering systems and practices. If you would like to have a pivotal role in managing a team that is designing and implementing strategic processes that elevate our company to resounding success, then we want to hear from you. This position reports to the Vice President of Application Services.KEY RESPONSIBILITES:Scripting
        • Manage and optimize virtual infrastructure in a variety of IaaS environments: AWS, Azure
        • Continuous Delivery implementation strategies utilizing automation tools
        • Analysis of performance data to determine Infrastructure pain points
        • Assist in planning and implementing scalable and reliable architecture Infrastructure
          • Lead the configuration, development, optimization and monitoring of our web and service environments
          • Guide the engineering team on managing Windows and Linux servers and services
          • Configure and manage network nodes, load balancers, firewalls, DNS and Active Directory
          • Create and implement daily operational checklist to prevent issues or outages and backup severs and their associated operating systems and software
          • Manage security solutions, IPS, IDS, and anti-virus systems
          • 24/7 emergency support: build runbooks, monitoring and exception handling procedures
          • Work on the administration of all equipment, hardware and software upgrades and patch management for server systems and devices on the network with infrastructure resourcesStrategy & Planning
            • Assist with planning, implementation and deployment of web applications, security measures, and operational system
            • Interact with other internal IT leaders to develop the correct architecture and processes to meet company goals
            • Transfer knowledge of our environment and setup to applicable internal and external personnel
            • Provide recommendations on team makeup and size to VP level of managementLeadership
              • Mentor staff in industry best practices, particularly security practices
              • Define and enforce process and procedure to improve quality of service, efficiency, and security
              • Lead the CloudOps engineers in their day-to-day tasks
              • Prioritize work and assign resources to complete the work
              • Identify areas of up-skill training for members of the team
              • Perform regular team and one-on-one check-ins
              • Provide 24/7/365 IT support to the business.
              • Foster a strong sense of teamwork between IT and other business leaders.
              • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, development, evaluation, disciplinary action, scheduling, and work assignments.
              • Develop, contribute, implement, and enforce appropriate IT policies and procedures necessary to alignment with departmental and company objectives.
              • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
              • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
