Technician II - Pharmacy - FT NIGHTS - $2500 Sign on Bonus -
MHW: Pharmacy - Pembroke Pines, FL ---- Summary:The registered and
certified pharmacy technician II works under the direct supervision
of licensed pharmacists to provide distributive pharmacy services
and support to the pharmacy department. Additionally, provides a
high level of assistance in distribution, dispensing, and
compounding of sterile and non-sterile medications, and related
supplies in compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and
safety requirements. -- Detailed responsibilities:--- Competent and
skilled to perform all duties of Technician I.--- Performs sterile
compounding, including limited hazardous medications in accordance
with regulatory requirements.--- Assists with process improvement
and continuous quality and safety monitoring initiatives.---
Assists with procurement of medications and supplies through
various ordering platforms.--- Able to perform all activities per
pharmacy technician scope of practice Competencies and

of the department.Required Work Experience: One (1) year of
experience as a Pharmacy Technician.Reference: Job Functions of a
Technician I:-Maintains and supports medication distribution
systems and distribution channels, including automated dispensing
cabinets, unit dose systems, code carts, trays and kits.-Prepares,
fills, receives, delivers, stocks and restocks medication inventory
and supplies for the pharmacy department and drug storage
areas.-Assists with customer service and patient needs, including
answering telephones, managing work queues and completing
medication histories.-Prepares non-sterile compounded medications,
including hazardous preparations.-Performs prescription data entry
in pharmacy system when applicable.-Process medication
charges/credits when applicable.-Responsible for orienting and
training new pharmacy technicians or students.-Completes other
responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy
