Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMT) to support the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90073, and potentially at any of its surrounding clinics. NMTs will perform quality controls on equipment used each day, and perform and process a wide range of clinical nuclear medicine studies including PET/CT, general Nuclear Medicine, and cardiac imaging. The technologists will prepare and administer radioactive substances according to guidelines and protocols, set by the Nuclear Medicine Department, the hospital Radiation Safety Department, and other requirements established by the NRC and NHPP. The technologists shall be familiar with the requirements for each test and be able to assess the condition of the patient, their ability to undergo the procedure, compliance to preparation instructions, and medication conflicts. NMTs shall evaluate the quality of images taken and additional images when necessary. The technologists shall perform related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS, archiving images, and case editing of computer requests and reports. Available shift schedules include days, evenings, and nights. Exceptional compensation and benefits packages are available to qualified candidates. Responsibilities Performs quality controls on equipment used each day, and performs and processes a wide range of clinical nuclear medicine studies including PET/CT, general Nuclear Medicine, and cardiac imaging Prepares and administers radioactive substances according to guidelines and protocols, set by the Nuclear Medicine Department, the hospital Radiation Safety Department, and other requirements established by has the NRC and NHPP Maintains familiarity with the requirements for each test and is able to assess the condition of the patient, their ability to undergo the procedure, compliance to preparation instructions, and medication conflicts Evaluates the quality of images taken and additional images when necessary Performs related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS, archiving images, and case editing of computer requests and reports Sets up radiographic suites and ensures that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment/supplies are present and available Prepares and administers contrast material orally, by enema, or under close supervision of radiologists, intravenously but not independently; as required by procedure or patients condition, monitors vital signs (blood pressure and heart rate), and reports any significant changes to a radiologist Lifts, positions, pushes, and transfers patients, supplies, and/or equipment as needed Performs related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS, archiving images, and case editing of computer requests and reports As required, maintains records and enters patient information into the computer through the use of the Radiology Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) package Qualifications English language proficiency ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB CNMT certified (either is required) Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education of Radiologic Technologists (JRCERT) program, and have a minimum of two (2) years of work experience Note - Student internship and training time spent in a radiology setting does not count toward the two (2) years of experience Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), experience with Agfa PACS is preferred but not required American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required All candidate must be able to: Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist Lift up to 20 lbs Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance Push/pull with 30 lbs of force Powered by JazzHR GXbXn5iAmbby Jobble
