Job Description:
RN Transplant Data Coordinator - Oncology Support Services,
FT-Days, MHW: Support Services OncologyThis position is located at
MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WEST - (Pembroke Pines, FL) - and will be part of
a multi-disciplinary team providing support to 8 Bone Marrow
Transplant Oncologists. Responsibilities will include data
collection, reporting and auditing for the Bone Marrow Transplant
Program. Will also participate in Quality & Process Improvement
initiatives. MONDAY-FRIDAY work schedule. (No weekends, holidays or
on-call.) Flexible start times however must be available during
core business hours (8a-5p) on an as-needed basis.
Summary:
Supports the Memorial System Transplant Program department by
collecting and reporting programmatic, quality, and performance
improvement data for all required by all agencies and regulating
entities.
Detailed responsibilities:
* Coordinates data collection and reporting activities for the
transplant program. Ability to independently monitor and audit
clinical information. This auditing will include examining records,
reports, standard operating procedures, and documentation to
provide reports on compliance. Reviews patient charts to collect
all data reported to federal agencies and others regulating
transplantation. Completes all required reporting forms within the
deadlines imposed by the agencies requesting the data.
* Maintains transplant database. Works with IT to update the
Electronic medical record system as needed to maintain
functionality in the department.
* Writes reports for quality/process improvement meetings for
review by program management. Analyzes transplant information for
governmental agencies, physicians, managed care organizations,
research studies, etc. by entering raw data into a computer,
organizing and manipulating data, collecting data, consulting with
team members, and generating graphs and charts. Prepares reports,
presentations, and other documents as instructed.

data management preferred. Experience with Word, Access, Excel,
EPIC, and Outlook preferred. Strong organizational skills required.
