be considered. A Registered Nurse with Operating Room (OR)
expertise is needed for a contract role based in Cape Coral, FL.
This position involves providing surgical nursing care for both
adult and pediatric patients across a broad range of specialties
including ENT, general surgery, vascular, endovascular, robotics,
dental, gynecology, orthopedics, spine, and neurosurgery.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of OR experience with
pediatric exposure mandatory. BLS certification is required, and
CNOR certification is preferred. Familiarity with Epic EMR is
essential. Prior travel nursing experience is highly valued. A
nursing degree accreditation must be verifiable on your profile or
you need to demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience.
The role features a 10-hour day shift with variable start times and
days off, avoiding block scheduling. Call duty is required,
averaging approximately four calls per month, including evening,
overnight, or backup shifts between 3 PM and 7 AM. Floating to
other units and sister campuses within a 50-mile radius may be
necessary. All schedule and time-off requests must be submitted
prior to onboarding and cannot be altered afterward.
Responsibilities Include: Providing comprehensive perioperative
nursing care in the OR setting. Collaborating with surgeons and
staff for various surgical specialties. Responding effectively to
call duties as scheduled. Adhering to facility protocols and
documentation requirements within the EMR system. Supporting unit
culture and integrating as core staff within the team.
Qualifications: Minimum 2 years OR nursing experience including
pediatric cases. BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
Experience with Epic EMR. Nursing degree accreditation or 5 years
of related experience. Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
