Duties · Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing issues. · Develop and implement tailored therapy plans based on individual needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric populations. · Provide engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve communication skills and swallowing safety. · Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as physicians, educators, and occupational therapists to coordinate patient care. · Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. · Educate patients and their families about communication strategies, exercises, and home programs to reinforce therapy goals. · Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and anatomy to ensure the highest quality of care. Requirements: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. · Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction. · Prior school experience or pediatric experience is highly preferred. · Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions. · Experience conducting patient assessments and developing effective treatment plans. · Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practice. · Passion for working with children and providing early intervention services is a plus. · Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
