Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A nursing opportunity is available in Cape Coral, FL, for an experienced RN with a focus on Stepdown care. This contract role requires a commitment to flexible floating within a team-oriented environment, supporting adult and geriatric patients in a medical facility with multiple sister campuses. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU); Emergency Department experience is not required. Current Florida or Compact nursing license with recent verification on profile. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS mandatory. Degree accreditation must be verified on profile or a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience. Ability to adapt to floating across various campus locations within a 50-mile radius of permanent address. Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Records system preferred. Must be able to wear designated uniform colors (Galaxy Blue & White scrubs). Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Stepdown/PCU setting. Maintain patient ratios typically between 4:1 and 6:1, depending on patient acuity. Support core staff by functioning with a team-focused mindset and flexibility for floating as needed. Complete all required documentation accurately and on time. Comply with all facility policies and contribute positively to the workplace culture.
