applicable law.JOB SUMMARY The IBS Technical Lead for the
Integrated Core Banking System (e-IBS) Platform is an engineering
leader who combines deep technical expertise with leadership skills
to guide the development, integration, implementation, maintenance
and evolution of the bank's core system. The IBS Technical Lead
will be acting as the primary point of contact for all e-IBS
operations and it is crucial for ensuring the uninterrupted
stability (24/7), high performance, and security of the modules
that manage critical financial operations (deposits, loans,
accounting, payments, etc.) across the enterprise. Responsible for
overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of IBM
I-Series and the e-IBS core banking platform software. Will be
acting as the primary point of contact for all IBS operations.
Expert knowledge of IBS and module functionality is required. This
role will be responsible for the vendor relationship with DataPro
and the 3rd party vendors which support the IBS platform and its
ecosystem. DUTIES OF THE POSITION The duties of the position
include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. System
Architecture and Direction Architecture Vision: Define and evolve
the technical architecture of the e-IBS, ensuring it is scalable,
resilient, and capable of handling high volumes of real-time
transactions. Integration Strategy: Lead the design of APIs and
interfaces for the modular integration of the IBS with digital
channels (web/mobile) (e.g., payment systems, CRMs, associated
Fintechs, internal risk management modules, etc). Technological
Decisions: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies,
frameworks, and design patterns (e.g., microservices) to modernize
Core components. Quality Standards: Establish the standards for
software engineering, code security, and performance for the entire
development team. 2. Development, Operations, and Stability
Implementation Leadership: Oversee, participate and execute the
development of complex functionalities within the Core Banking
system and its associated modules. Key lead in the implementation
of the new IBS Core banking platform. Performance Optimization:
Actively work on optimizing transaction performance and the
efficiency of the central database (schemas, queries). Incident
Management: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for
diagnosing and resolving critical production failures that affect
system availability. Security and Compliance: Ensure that all
changes to the IBS comply with local and international banking
regulations (e.g., data protection rules, reporting requirements).
Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical
documentation for applications, including user guides, system
architecture diagrams, and implementation plans. 3. Team Leadership
and Stakeholder Management Technical Mentorship: Provide coaching
and technical guidance to team engineers, elevating their knowledge
in both the banking domain and the technologies used in the IBS.
Project Alignment: Collaborate with the Product team (Product
Owners) and Business stakeholders to translate functional
requirements into viable technical solutions and estimate
development effort. Communication Bridge: Act as the primary
technical liaison with management, functional teams, and IBS
solution vendors. 4. Mandatory RequirementsTechnical Expertise and
Knowledge Demonstrated experience in the IT industry, with a focus
on the banking or financial services sector. Mandatory experience
in the implementation, development, or customization of an
Integrated Banking System (e-IBS). Proficiency in high-criticality
backend technologies (e.g., Java EE/Spring, C#, or proprietary
platforms). Strong experience with critical databases (Oracle/SQL
Server) and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, MQ Series). Deep
functional knowledge of banking modules: General Ledger, Deposits,
Loans, Payment Processing, etc. Ability to understand, speak
(fluently), read and write English and Spanish. Effectively
speaking before groups of customers or employees. Leadership Skills
Proven ability to technically lead development teams and manage
complex priorities. Excellent communication skills to effectively
interact with senior management and functional teams. Ability to
multitask and work under pressure. Effectively speaking before
groups of customers or employees. PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS
POSITION: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science,
Information Technology, Business, Engineering or any related field
or combination of relevant experience. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Relevant certifications are preferred EXPERIENCE: 5 years of
experience working with IBS applications in a development or
support role. Experience with system integration and working across
different IT systems.
