Experienced Family Law Paralegal

Job Description:

Our expanding law practice is looking for a paralegal with strong knowledge of all aspects of family law who can hit the ground running as we build our perfect team.

For our clientele, we believe in putting them in a better place than when we found them.

You will be a member of a dynamic and developing team. Applicants must be experienced, well-organized professionals who can work alone and with minimal supervision.

Because this is a full-time position, you must work 40 hours a week in the office. Compensation is negotiable based on experience, with the option of obtaining bonus compensation for excellent performance.

Responsibilities:

Keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible
Read financial statements and prepare financial disclosures
Conduct legal research for motions, hearings, and additional attorney support
Track and calculate progress on all deliverables to meet deadlines
Create various legal papers, letters, affidavits, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, and legal briefs


Qualifications:

Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills
Experience with standard office equipment: scanner, copier, printer
Experience with standard office management software: internet, email, word processing, case management, time & billing, legal research, document management
Paralegal experience working closely with attorneys and clients on [[types of cases]]
Must agree to complete a 20-question written interview that tests knowledge, skills, qualifications, habits, and behaviors (including attention to detail, communication skills, and technical legal knowledge) to be considered for this position
