Overview Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC) is one of the
oldest single brand dental organization in the United States.
Founded in Michigan over 45 years ago and now serving patients in
nine states across 255 dental offices, the Great Expressions
strategic objective is to become the leading national Dental
Services Organization—fueled by the Best Team Members working in a
Best Place to Work culture that culminates in delivering the Best
Patient Experience in the industry.
The Chief of Staff, Office of Clinical Excellence (this role is
based out of South Florida or Southfield, MI) is accountable for
working with the Chief Clinical Officer to organize, operationalize
and optimize an enterprise clinical leadership function for Great
Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC). The Office of Clinical
Excellence governs all aspects of the organization’s clinical
offerings and practices, including clinical pathway design and
development, clinical training, career pathing and development,
clinical practice and utilization review and provider credentialing

A high-functioning team of enterprise clinical leaders who
possess the clinical vision, capability and administrative
resources to distinguish the Great Expressions clinical offering as
the leading national provider of dental services.
An operationalized set of clinical standards, pathways, P&Ls
and a common set of best practices for each specialty.
An effective and efficient office productivity review process
that enables the Chief Clinical Officer and the regional Clinical
Partners to rapidly identify treatment planning trends and
productivity deviations for dentists and hygienists on a daily
basis and that enables the clinical leaders to engage providers to
provide counsel and education.
A clinical career path for dentists that outlines the
performance criteria for advancing to higher levels of leadership
and equity within the organization. The Chief of Staff will support
the Chief Clinical Officer to coordinate the evaluation process of
Great Expressions doctors, using supporting quality assessment
criteria, against the stated progression criteria outlined in the
doctor career paths.
A clinical workforce management roadmap, informed by the
regional Clinical Partners, that defines the current state and
desired future state of the Great Expressions clinical bench by
region and that defines the anticipated recruiting needs for
dentists and hygienists based upon growth plans, turnover
projections and known attrition events such as retirements.
A curated summary of emerging dental technologies and
procedures, informed based upon regular input and feedback from the
regional Clinical Partners and a supporting view of the utilization
and reimbursement trends associated with the new technologies and
A coordinated Continuing Dental Education (CDE) program,
including Study Clubs and mentoring, that engages Great Expressions
providers and that can be extended to influential members of the
broader external dental community to showcase the GEDC leadership
An enhanced Great Expressions clinical reputation in the market
catalyzed by targeted attendance and contributions to leading
industry conferences and/or GEDC doctor participation on relevant
Qualifications Education & Experience:
DDS or Registered Dental Hygienist degree is a must. A minimum
of three-to-four years of dental experience is required.
Must demonstrate understanding of dental treatment sequencing
and disease progression.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus
7-10 years of healthcare administrative leadership experience in
a multi-site, distributed operating environment
7-10 years in an operational and strategic executive role
