Job Description:
Job Summary:The Head of Claims US will work as a member of the
Leadership team within Operations to manage the Claims departments
across all US locations for Generali Global Assistance. This person
will have oversight of all Liability, Travel Insurance, Federal
Employee Program (FEP), Medical Cost Containment and Travel
Assistance claims. Successful candidates must have prior experience
leading and developing multi-faceted teams on a strategic and
day-to-day level as well as the ability to manage relationships
with key clients. This role requires a good amount of presentation
to clients and analysis of claims data.Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:* Effectively manage the full claims process
across all Generali Global Assistance entities* Enhance client
relationships through proactive interactions, reporting, required
meetings* Familiar with laws in the jurisdictions that policies are
sold, ability to manage DOI and other types of inquiries* Coach,
mentor and develop existing management staff* Promote automation
and simplified practices where possible* Identify and develop
departmental talent to align with succession planning initiatives*
Manage P&L associated with Claims department* Establish and
maintain partnerships cross-departmentally within the Organization*
Oversight of workforce planning and forecasting through
collaboration with Customer Service Department* Champion change
management and offer support for implementations and processes*
Propel LEAN implementation and continuous improvement practices*
Responsible for successful fulfillment of Service Level Agreement
(SLA) requirements* Partner with Commercial teams to ensure client
satisfaction sustainability* Develop best practices and
efficiencies in relation to claims process* Develop long term plans
for claims organizations across all entities* Establish and monitor
benchmarks and KPI's for departmental performance* Management
assignment of resources to ensure client needs are being
metRequired / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:* 10+ years
senior claims management experience with at least 5+ years direct
liability experience* Significant experience managing a diverse
team across multiple locations* Proven track record of mentorship
and development of a team* Experience with LEAN methodology and
implementing lean programs* Exceptional organizational and
communication skills* Ability to successfully manage multiple
projects / tasks at once through concise prioritization and
strategic, proactive approach* Ability to work strategically across
multiple functions and locations* Knowledge of new technologies to
support claims and operational function* Demonstrated ability in
the use of metrics to drive and sustain continuous improvement,
efficiency and lean practices* Ability to travel up to
25%Education/Certifications:* Bachelor's Degree* H&A license*
P&C license* Adjuster's LicensePhysical Working
Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is required to stand; walk; sit for long periods of time; use of
hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; finger
dexterity; talk; hear. The employee is occasionally required to
climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee
must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally
lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.The
