We are a national, growing company providing our employees with a stable career and the opportunity for a bright future through growth and advancement.Currently we are seeking a Full-time Security Supervisor for Round 1 USA in Pembroke pines, Florida.*Requirements: * - Minimum of 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or equivalent required. - Must have or able to obtain a valid state security officer license. - Law enforcement, military or previous security/nightclub bouncer experience required. - A professional demeanor and appearance along with the physical ability to perform essential functions of the position including standing and walking for long periods of time and lifting. - Must pass a drug screen and background check. - Possess a valid state Driver's License (preferably with a clean driving record). - Effective communicator (verbal and written); must write accurate & grammatically correct reports - Employment history of responsibility and trustworthiness*Summary: *Assists in supervising and coordinating activities of Security Officers, assists in conducting incident investigations, and helps maintain relations with client management and in the absence of the Security Director, by performing the following duties.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities *include the following but not limited to: - Evaluate needs of locations and coordinates work assignments. - Assigns Security Officers to shifts at various locations at the client property according to job requirements and worker's abilities, skills, and experience. - Observes workers in performance of duties to evaluate efficiency and to detect and correct inefficient work practices. - Assists in conducting investigations relating to security or personnel issues. - Prepares detailed reports concerning matters investigated. - Communicate with appropriate client personnel to maintain location needs and customer relations. - Will conduct site inspections within his/her assigned area of responsibility. - Ensures security officer compliance with all policies and procedures directed by the Client and PSC. - Conducts specific site related training for officers at their assigned job location to cover all facets of the officers' duties and responsibilities. - Counsels officers on various issues such as appearance, poor attendance, job performance and customer service. - Must be knowledgeable of customer's service expectations by knowing the customer's key result areas. - Proactively work to prevent security problems instead of correcting these problems after they occur. - Responsible for administering counseling or disciplinary actions. - Must customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the normal course of day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures. Includes responsibility to address daily operations issues, communicate policy changes or company information, and make inspections to ensure professional image (including the hygiene and uniform appropriateness of officers and cleanliness/organization of the post) and quality standards are being maintained. - Responsible for conducting New Hire Certifications and on-the-job training, in coordination with Security Management or other supervisor, of new employees assigned to post, or when changes to post orders are made. This may include orientation to the post, review of post orders, routine responsibilities, and how to respond to emergency situations or specific client needs. - Distribute information to posts as directed by Security Director, which may include communicating such information to Security Officers at posts and/or obtaining signed acknowledgements or other documents, and returning such documents to Security Management. - May perform other administrative or security professional-level work on an as-needed basis - Other duties may be assigned.*Competency: *To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Analytical, Problem Solving, Customer Service, Interpersonal, Oral Communication, Teamwork, Written Communication, Delegation, Leadership, Managing People, Quality Management, Business Acumen, Cost Consciousness, Diversity, Ethics, Organizational Support, Adaptability, Attendance/Punctuality, Dependability, Judgment, Motivation, Professionalism, Quality, Safety and Security*Qualifications: *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Maybe required to obtain and subsequently maintain professional certification in the field of CPR, First Aid, AED and other related lifesaving or security related credentials. It is required to successfully complete PSC proprietary training and credentialing programs such as Basic Training, Certified Instructor Program (CIP) and/or any other Company required training and development program. Practical knowledge of law enforcement procedures, technical writing, civil law, criminal law, security procedures, investigative procedures, training programs and personnel management. Maybe required to use tactical equipment and wear prescribed uniform and assigned Company equipment.*Education/Experience: *High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, and 2-3 years related experience and/or training.*Written & Verbal Communication Ability: *Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent written and clear, efficient verbal communication skills and the ability to work with the public effectively and tactfully.*Math Ability: *Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.*Reasoning Ability: *Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.*Computer Skills: *Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Utilization of Web based Incident Reporting system (ie: Caseglobal.), PDA utilization with Guard Tour software (CaseGlobal or similar) and Excel software.*Supervisory Responsibilities: *Directly supervises employees in the field. Carries out supervisory responsibilities at the direction of the Security Director or Assistant Security Director, in accordance with the PSC policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.*Work Environment: *The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
