Position Description: Overview:We are collaborating with a leading educational institution to find dedicated Student Life Counselors who will be the cornerstone of support and guidance for students within a vibrant residential program during the 2024-2025 school year. This role offers on-call opportunities, perfect for individuals passionate about aiding students in achieving both academic and social goals and committed to creating a nurturing and productive environment. The primary purpose of the Student Life Counselor position is to serve as the principal direct caregiver for students within an assigned house. This position requires afternoon and evening hours.Responsibilities:

• Student Mentorship: Establish trust and meaningful relationships with students, offering guidance, emotional support, and mentoring throughout the school year.
• Family Engagement: Enhance connections between students and their families, fostering communication and involvement in the student's educational journey.
• Advocacy: Uphold the dignity and rights of students, advocating for their needs and ensuring ethical treatment.
• Health and Wellness: Address healthcare and mental health needs, referring to appropriate services and supporting students through personal challenges.
• Academic Support: Facilitate academic success by maintaining structured learning environments, assisting with homework, and encouraging college preparation.
• Safety and Recreation: Ensure a safe living environment, organize recreational activities, and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
• Character Development: Foster character growth and social skills, teaching and modeling core values and life skills.Qualifications:
