Strong experience in troubleshooting and optimizing chemical reactions ? Practical experience with air- and moisture-sensitive chemistry preferred ? Familiarity with cannabinoid chemistry is strongly preferred Key Responsibilities ? Perform organic synthesis reactions related to cannabinoids, intermediates, and derivatives ? Independently set up, monitor, quench, and work up chemical reactions ? Optimize reaction conditions (solvents, catalysts, temperature, stoichiometry, time) to improve yield, purity, and reproducibility ? Scale reactions from gram-scale to kilogram-scale when required ? Diagnose failed or underperforming reactions and identify root causes ? Develop and test alternative reaction pathways or conditions ? Troubleshoot issues related to impurities, side reactions, low conversion, or poor selectivity ? Apply mechanistic understanding to resolve reaction inefficiencies ? Analyze reaction progress and products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, TLC, and LC-MS ? Maintain accurate and detailed lab notebooks and batch records ? Prepare technical reports and summaries of experimental findings ? Follow all laboratory safety, chemical handling, and waste disposal protocols ? Work in compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (where applicable) ? Collaborate with R&D, analytical, and production teams to support process transfer and scale-up ?
